I probably tip around 30% on average. Some times I give 50% tip, sometimes 20%, and sometimes a single penny. The waiters are not entitled to anything that’s not billed, and unless they actually add to the customer’s experience, they have earned exactly zilch.

The server should have sent the manager over when there was no table available for them to move to. Then the manager could be proactive in offering some kind of compensation and the server gets to be the hero for it.

Wrong. Don’t punish your server, it wasn’t their fault.

Hey restaurant owners: live music is never a good idea if you’re not exclusively a bar.

I don’t mind novelty places like mariachi restaurants. That is all part of the fun, you’re not going for a regular night out there.

The #2 is for plants where the white juice is there in liquid form, not for things like almonds where you have to go through processes to extract a paste that you then dilute it to get it to appear milk-like. If you can suck the milk out of an almond like you can from a coconut, I’ll let you call it almond milk.

Even if they succeed, will grocery stores move these products? Where else would they put them? With the refrigerated juice?

Without regulation, yes, it’s easy to get confused. When MILK is in large letters and you have to read the small print to find out what it is, there is a problem. I don’t say that they shouldn’t be allowed to use the word milk, but the qualifier (like “Soy” or “Almond”) needs to be as prominent as the word Milk, and

I think you have missed the entire point of the salt and tequila. It’s not to add a slight flavor to the drink, but to numb the taste buds with pure NaCl to cut the fusel taste of the tequila.
The alternative isn’t to mix salt into the margarita, but to serve salt on the side, so you can put a pinch in your mouth

Now the tricky part is the limit to how close to the personal pipe the state should be allowed to monitor. If they can monitor to individual homes like the video below that is going over the line.

There is no such thing as “a complete protein”. There are hundreds of different proteins, each of which are built from different combinations of amino acids, which they are broken down into when you digest the protein. There is no single protein that contains all the nine essential amino acids which your body cannot

I think the important part of plant protein is you have to mix a variety of sources to get a complete amino acid profile.

It’s a reasonable assumption, and it is not really that significant what sort of vape device it is. Why do you ask?

I’m sure a lot of us here have come across people smoking on planes, or even did it ourselves, simply because it used to be allowed.

Exactly. They just weirdly chose to use the word “entire” which made it sound like even the flight attendants were fired.

I’m more worried about the tendency of batteries in cheap vape pens to explode, and the apparent ease with which this pilot managed to get a vape pen through security.

There are risks with both the UTI itself and with antibiotics. You seem to not enter the latter into the equation. If there is an overwhelming chance of getting well without antibiotics, and a non-negligible risk of complications from antibiotics, my choice will be to avoid it.

Very thoughtful and informative - thank you.
I almost wish there were alternatives to doctors that doesn’t require going through a doctor first, because unfortunately, some just reach for the pad. I already knew I had contracted diabetes when I went to her (mainly because of foot neuropathy, blurry vision after eating,

But no, the majority of patients do not get it done with diet and exercise (I can’t move in with them and make them do it).

I wish doctors would also answer is this test useful? before requesting it. Crossing off 20 different tests seems to be standard these days, and its the patient paying, not the doctor, so mere curiosity or dragnet testing should not ever be a reason, nor testing for something where the value of the result wont affe
