to absolutely everybody I know who voted Republican under the excuse of “well their tax cuts are gonna help me,” I would like to say “YOU JUST PLAYED YOURSELVES.”

I dunno. MacEnroe set the standard.

those poor bastards.

that’s a bold statement. there’s every possibility of punching a Hoosier who really wasn’t racist but was merely mildly intolerant of people who couldn’t parallel park.

It was in the 1920s, and the ratio was almost one in four. So if you were stuck in a room with four Hoosiers in 1927, you had a one-in-four chance of punching a racist SOB in the mouth.

I still can’t wrap my head around the way the Colts moved to Indy in the first place: the sheer criminality of what the Irsay ownership did, plus the fact they moved to the MIDDLE OF INDIANA instead of someplace more scenic like, oh I dunno, Albuquerque.

Okay, I know it’s professional sports, and teams have a right to try a comeback/miracle rally, but seriously at the moment it was 19-0 the umps should have invoked the Skunk Rule.

I actually looked at one, when I was shopping for alternatives after the PT Cruiser stopped production (shut up, I loved the leg room and the Art Deco styling, it just needed a better engine). That sloping rear roof made the back half of the Juke claustrophobic to me even as I sat up front in the driver’s seat.

Just a reminder that right now the Browns are STILL ON an active losing streak that can rival the all-time NFL losing streak of the 1976-77 Tampa Bay Yucs (the infamous 0-26 start). All it will take, I believe, is ten straight losing games to open the season to match that number... and then just one more loss...

they had no way of grilling him at the moment.

yeah but it’s Indiana.

I say the state of Florida should sue Jeff Loria to get back the billions he defrauded out of us, promising a competitive team for a gaudy new ballpark and then junking it like he’s done before with both the Marlins AND the Expos. Half of the money gotten back helps build the Rays park, and the other half goes to

As a Rays fan, I would say THPPPT on that idea... although getting rid of the Marlins would help because those SOBs suck all the oxygen out of the state taking the billions of state dollars for stadiums that nobody ends up going to.

Expanding the major league level of baseball would require cutting into the AAA level, obviously not only in terms of markets but also the player talent getting promoted upward, but would likely result in cutting back on some of the doubling-up of the rookie (there’s a foreign and US) and A/Short A teams out there.

watch the man’s hands. he’s visibly shaking, he is honest-to-God TERRIFIED of a Black woman wielding a coupon.

You’re a Dolphins fan? you poor bastard.

I think he played shortstop for the Cardinals. No, the Mets!

As a Gator alum, I do feel that occasional urge, but he’s been the voice of the Bucs so long I can’t imagine what it will be like without him. Even though, Gods help us, he’s starting to lose it on-air barely keeping up with stuff and getting names/numbers wrong more often.
