Hello everyone! I know there are some Keto folks out there, so come share what you’ve doing lately!
I think there are a few other folks doing Keto around here, so I thought I would do a post (maybe with regular recurrence?) to chat about the experience and give each other tips/tricks!
The best under eye gel I’ve ever tried is 50% off this week at Sephora! It’s not so much that it de-puffs, it’s just so smoothing. I have terrible puffy undereye and the lines I get from it are ever present—this is the only thing that can make my concealer actually creaseless!
I’m probably the last person to know about this—but in case I’m not—take a look at Raising Dion! A show, about the struggle of raising a child with superpowers, produced by Michal B. Jordan. It looks freaking adorable and I can’t wait until 2019!
Life has been...bizarro world, so I haven’t had the time to do a Recs and Wrecks lately. But I needed to share this.
You know when companies put out advertising that has subtle (sometimes overt) currents of racism or sexism? And everyone is like “how did no one flag this? This had to go through so many levels of approval, how did this not get caught? This is how we can tell there are no women or POC on their marketing team.”
I went to the property manager today, calmly but firmly laid out the entire saga, enumerated my concerns, and asked for a plan of action.
Update: I’m going to call the folks that “such a travesty” recommended tomorrow morning. I’ve gotten my account of everything that has happened written up, and I am aiming to speak with the property manager/higher ups tomorrow afternoon once I have the benefit of those conversations that “such a travesty” recommended.…
I’m going to see an apartment this afternoon! Fingers crossed it will be just as nice as my current apartment, because it would save me $400 a month!
The last Recs & Wrecks was a succesful exercise in finding a great mascara and I’m ready to do some more! I have a few other topics that I feel pretty confident I could make a full Recs & Wrecks post about.
I’m not talking Football teams, I’m talking what FOODball team you’re on.
I just happened across an ad on Facebook and I am flabbergasted. 1) I’m betting their marketing team is mostly made up of men.
So, I went back and tried most of the recs you guys recommended: Marc Jacobs, L’Oréal lash paradise, L’Oréal voluminous million lashes excess, some Lancôme stuff, the cils booster, etc. Like Highlander, there can be only one.
I stumbled upon an unboxing on YouTube and it looked pretty great. I have the Sephora playbox ($10/month) and I’m pretty happy with it. I had Ipsy, too, but the quality of the products was very hit or miss so I quit. Boxycharm is $20ish and gives full size products.
As in, my ass is chapped. Dear people who are sick: if you have the luxury to work from home, FUCKING DO THAT. We had teleconference meetings all day, there was literally no reason for this person to come to the physical location of the office and sit next to me continuously coughing, blowing their nose, and then…
If you’re not on the Yebba train, you need to hop on. This girl’s voice is NASTY, in the best way possible. I’ve listened to this song all day today and am still finding something new I like about it. She puts so much emotion in her performances. Click that play button, you know you want to! Then when you’re done…
Lane Bryant full coverage bras used to fit me really well but they changed something a few years back and they are just not the same. I eventually tried torrid. I look pretty good in them when I first put them on, but in order to get it looking good/give me the support I need I have to make the band pretty tight. I…
Let us gather and expel our negative energy until it coalesces into a giant mass of loathing and frustration that consumes all those who have slighted us!
UPDATE: it turns out actually updating your phone more often than once a year can actually be helpful! I updated and it fixed all my issues, so if you’ve been going through something similar I would suggest giving that a try!
I have just successfully completed day 2 of my +1000 mile drive back home which is actually more of an accomplishment than it sounds. I would like to give the following PSA to the world—though I’m sure all the lovely GTers already know this, I need a good vent.
