I thought the movement and gunplay felt great; unfortunately I could never get any other people on a campaign mission and playing alone with bots was frustrating as hell. I had one mission with one other player and my enjoyment increased exponentially.

Thia is what happens when Nintendo catches up with the other consoles. Welcome to the tedium that can sometimes plague modern gaming.

I think you read my comment wrong. I said the same thing. Without scores, they will lose views.

Personally I like a 5-star system (Hated it/Disliked it slightly/Liked it slightly/Really liked it/Loved it), which essentially matches up with the alphabet grading system. I like stars better because people may immediately dismiss a C-graded game, but see themselves potentially enjoying a 3-star-out-of-5 game and

"Not Yet" is essentially a "0/10, but check back with us"; which then becomes a 10/10 or 0/10...

Sounds like you are cut from the same cloth as the folks who thought segregation would end racism in America.

With Kotaku's ratings system being basically a choice of 10/10 or 0/10, it can be pretty hard to settle on zero.

"They don't really know what they're doing with their "new" company."

Good suggestion - I think this is a much better than the current Yes/No system; which reads to many people as essentially either 100/100 or 0/100... and Kotaku has the balls to criticize Metacritic users' hyperbolic scoring!

Your comment worries me... I also enjoyed the 2010 MoH for what it was. It's disheartening to see people who also liked it to say the new one actually got worse. I was going to buy the new on e this weekend on sale but perhaps I'll wait for a deeper discount.

This is why you don't run a game studio.

Something that has to be a bit scary for Nintendo is the reality that those who wait a year to see how WiiU turn out may be distracted by news about Microsoft & Sony's new consoles... it could take a bit of the wind out the sails unless they have a really spectacular first 12-18 months.

I don't know much about the services you mentioned, but none of them serve to be an alternative to traditional cable/satellite TV & movie on-demand service. So, the telecommunications giants in Canada can continue to sell people on discounted "bundled services" so long as other viable TV/on-demand alternatives are

It appears it will be the same as every other entertainment service... Canadians get a nice little paragraph saying that everyone is working really hard to bring us services and content, while in reality it will never happen because of the nature of our telecommunications - which serves to use the bureaucracy to

Good to know about Walking Dead. Can't wait to start playing that next month.

You raise a very good point about Gordon being a mute character.

I'd rather be along for the emotionally-charged revenge story Alyx might have taken for Ep. 3 than the story that would have followed her death.

I hear you. I feel bad always waiting 6-18 months to buy games I really want to support, but anytime I buy a game at launch I feel a bit ripped off later on; especially considering my huge backlog of games often means I am getting to a game by the time a complete edition ends up coming out.

I second that emotion. Love Anachronox.
