$12,800? I would start to question my priorities long before my bike frame weighs less than my water bottle.

It's a wonder they all don't get pulled over.

No Kidding. What does that copious white smoke smell like?

"HateBox," you are showing remarkable hate-restraint given the absurdity you pointed out.

If this article had run on April 1 I wouldn't have batted an eye.

Love the high-travel suspension.... When the rear end crouches under power.... Just Dang.

They could knock a couple tenths off if they didn't use Victorian flocked wallpaper for camo.

I would put pumping gas in the same realm as turning the ignition key.

All right. So no reason for hesitation about bolting together off the shelf parts, then.

7.) A Safety Inspection That Turns Into Repairs

I second the question. What is the collective wisdom on Seafoam?

Curious, why not exhaust? If it can be done without pipe bending and welding, that is. Mine is all bolts.

Both drum and disc brakes are relatively easy to work on. 900turbo suggests we should learn how to fix them:

I had forgotten how awful it is to put a front plate on an NA. :-(

I wouldn't recommend dropping wheelspin sensors, but even in a road car, having the additional information of instantaneous normal force can only help. Let the computer sort it out.

...to negotiate a $500 price?

I heard he refused to take his boots off because his grandfather fought against Range Rovers in the war.

It's more than a coincidental charging of KERS, though. The story alleges that they use realtime suspension travel data (as in each and every road bump) to modulate the power harvesting, which could in principle lead to very effective closed-loop traction control, not just a coincidental reduction in power when coming

You're thinking of when KERS is used to put power to the wheels. This is related to when the energy is harvested, to recharge the KERS battery. I don't think the KERS harvesting times are regulated, even though maximum energy storage is.
