If done right, synthetic audio can be a valid part of an instrument cluster. They just need to market it differently.

Mmmmm.... '71 Plymouth B-body....

No shots of said 1971 GTX?

Not gonna argue with the list, but I do have a beef about the title. AOTD should actually answer QOTD, without significant changes in wording. Because changes in wording are accompanied by changes in meaning.

Make it 60 mph (1 mile/minute). This has the advantage of making trip time calculations easy. Then speed limit signs can read:

That's funny, because in America, every trip is about a mile a minute, so we apparently drive 1.6 times faster than you.

The judge released him, after sentencing him to "time served" for the loss of the car.

Rarely does the opening salvo of paragraphs for a QOTD hit the target so squarely.

I'm gonna say NP, only because the "disposable car" price point is roughly $1500 these days. If you drove it for half a year and left it wedged in a ditch under a barbed wire fence in ranch-land Montana, you will have done well.

Now playing

Said it before, I'll say it again: 300Z Twin Turbo.

The "Eco-Pedal" actually sounds pretty rad. How hard can you push on the pedal in your car now? Well, with the Eco-Pedal, you can push *harder.*

Wooly Harrelson.

And I disagree with 3:55.

You, sir, are the coolness.

Pshaw. They're totally doing it wrong. Everyone knows that for gasoline, the air/fuel ratio is 14.7:1, so if you want a bigger effect, you should tornadificate the gas instead of the air. I put one of these in my gas tank filler tube, and I'm getting 14.7 times the mileage I got before.

I'm down with it.

Jawas might disagree.

Dear Jalopnik,

The line of demarcation between NFS and GT/Forza is not *quite* one of "toy" vs. "simulator," but it's close. Perhaps Porsche wants it that way.
