What drives me crazy is when comments like yours discount actions performed by a celebrity and downplays their blatant disregard for public safety and just being a good human being. It also affects how the public sees car enthusiast at large as well. Ultimately you really should care

where I live in Southern California diesel is right on par with mid grade or premium gas, so its not really any cheaper, at least for me. I went from a GTI to a TDi where I spend the same on fuel per gallon and essentially get twice the mileage.
