“Crisis of consonants” made me rupture my laughter mechanism.

I think we all know....

I am about the same age as Argento. There are zero reasons for someone her age to be alone in a hotel room with a 17 year old, unless it’s a family member. Whatever story she’s trying to sell, she should just stop.

They are. I also assume that’s where this woman’s debt came from.  I really wish Jezebel would do a long piece about MLMs since they’re very anti-woman but mostly funded by women.

MLMs are a fucking scourge.

Men shouldn’t have sex if they’re not prepared to accept that the woman may get an abortion.

My vet said something similar (we lost our cat earlier this year). Dogs are really good at telling you when they don’t feel well - they act MISERABLE. Cats are stoic and generally just roll with it until one day you notice they’ve lost some weight and the vet tells you they’ve got Stage 4 Awfulness and all you can do

Nope, don’t like this. 13 is a pretty good life span for a dog, and unfortunately it’s not THAT uncommon for cats to unexpectedly pass away. Happened to my beloved Chester who died suddenly at 5 years old, even though he had seemingly always been in perfect health. Lots of cats live with undiagnosed heart murmurs

So the Lamby thing was fucked up. You are always supposed to return a rescue to the rescue facility, or rehome the pet with their involvement. But this is totally different, and is so unbelievably callous. An old dog died. That's pretty normal. I'm also grossed out.

The number one responsibility of a father is to embarrass their child as much as possible. Carry on, Alec.

People are asking what this means for #MeToo. It means it’s doing its job.

This doesn’t surprise me. Cycles of abuse are self-perpetuating. I’m surprised more people aren’t pointing out how distressingly similar the details of this assault are to her allegation against Weinstein: the grooming and isolating of the victim, providing alcohol before attacking etc. It’s infuriating to think

I’m 35 and live with my mum. We get on really well and I love where we live. I’ve rented on my own before, but there is no way I’d be able to afford to live in a nice house. She has her life and I have mine. That said if I pulled any of this Nazi crap she’d kick me out in a heartbeat.

No shame in that.

It bothers me so much that people are leaning on pretty insulting comments to also make fun of Nazis. It’s like, isn’t their supremacy complex enough to mock? People rag on Trump for being “orange” (fake tanner) or having fake blonde hair, or being fat, but none of these are moral failings. Living with your parents

<3

I’m considering moving back in with my parents this spring (I’m in my mid-30s). You know what? It just makes sense and anybody who thinks otherwise can shove it. My parents have plenty of room and their house is paid off (Oh to be part of a generation that could actually afford things because their incomes were

I live in Austin, which is getting more and more expensive as fuck. I can more likely move to a neighboring town, but it may still be too expensive for my low income, plus I don’t have a car. I really do want to move out and experience life kind of like I did when I was living in a college apartment, but I probably

The idea of absolutely having to move out is relatively new to the United States, too.

There’s a difference between “I’m living with my parents because I’m disabled and can’t live independently” and “I’m living with my parents because I’m paying off lawsuits related to my being a Nazi.” The former is worthy of empathy; the latter is worthy of mockery.
