“You could hear them giggling the whole time”

No this is spoken by someone who has clearly never learned a skill or craft. I’ve learned several. I paint, I’ve done woodworking, I play card games competitively. So I’m well fucking aware of how nothing I do is wholly original. The majority of what I’ve learned over the years I’ve learned by copying others. I see a

This is always going to be a super problematic argument because what critics of AI art don’t want to admit is that human artists train themselves on vast amounts of copyrighted work with “no consent, no credit, and no compensation”. There are thousands of artists who have learned to ape other artists styles, and based

If it's creating unique stuff not out there then they are just jealous an AI could replace their jobs

I imagine a lot of people who played it didn’t buy it, considering it launched on Game Pass.

How can you even SEE us, from astride a horse that high?

what the hell is even this

Hopefully this isn’t true as I enjoy his work but that’ll be for the courts and evidence to decide.

My impression’s always been that the volatility was what drew people to crypto. They saw bitcoin skyrocketing and had dreams of becoming overnight millionaires; and whenever it crashed they saw an opportunity to buy the dip. FF Tactics was a revelation in that it told a serious story and the party aren’t the standard hero trope. They’re behind the scenes doing a lot of the dirty work.

FF Tactics is one of my very favorite all time games. Have never played Tactics Ogre, but I’m hour or so in and utterly delighted. Yes, I wish it was prettier, but so every I really love everything I’m seeing. ESPECIALLY the score. It’s perfect.

that is not nearly the astute observation you think it is, and the world is certainly more complicated than your mental model currently seems capable of accounting for

Emulation existed before 2011 and star ocean was notoriously difficult because of the compressed graphics. Your argument is like saying “running 3d graphics was never an issue I’ve been playing 3d games since 2007".

Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia (which shared many of the same development team - Wolf Team split after ToP one half stayed at Namco and the other half left and formed Tri-Ace) were *easily* the most technically complex games on the SNES, they took ages to be properly supported and have translation patches.
