I don't know what this says about me, but my favorite FF is FF Tactics...  it was like Game of Thrones before the books gained popularity.  Least favorite is FF9, and you pretty much hit the nail on the head for why I dislike it.  Although, I haven't had erotic fanfics on my HD since 11th grade (about 20 years ago).
