The best analog recordings are reel to reel tapes @ 15 ips. Vinyl records @ 45 rpm are superior to LPs. Compact cassettes only play @ 1 7/8 ips and are smaller than 8-track that play @ 3 3/4 ips and do not need dolby sound processing like cassettes did.
