I think that's an example of the exception that proves the rule.

"The writing, design, and direction are competent but uninspiring at best, bland and generic at worst, and it sometimes feels like the people behind the scenes are doing the bare minimum to bring these stories to life."

I've done the whole mind control thing. Not a fan.

The ToonTown segments in Who Framed Roger Rabbit looked more life-like than this.

That's a good point.

I'd rather see Jenna Maroney in the "The Jamie Beercottage Story" featuring her hit song "Prefab."

What about Cabin Boy or The Cat in the Hat?

When a film uses this much CGI, why not just make an actual cartoon?

Not to get all Sam Smith/Tom Petty, but this sounds remarkably similar to Shall not be Released. Still great production and vocals. I can dig it.

See if you just cover one eye and squint really hard, it's almost like the prequels never happened!

Who wouldn't want to play a villain in a Guardians movie? I mean the last one made almost as big of an impression as Glenn Close did. //

Here's another quote that is probably more applicable to this specific story:

Method isn't for everyone or for every production. It seems to be pretty typical on a David Ayer production though.

Actually, that reminds me of when Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf got into fistfights between takes on David Ayers last movie. It's almost as if these professionals know what they are getting into when they sign on for an Ayer production. Probably best if the internet jumps to their defense…

Me too? Ugh, sorry. Poe's law is killing me…

Sure thing. Oh, Jared Leto said 'prick hole.' That's super important and well worth Alex McCown's time to mention.

I don't get the reference, but again I don't think Jared Leto physically assaulted someone on set. If you're trying to make a connection between the normal annoyance of a method actor and someone literally punching a coworker in the face, I'd again point you to my comment on feigned ignorance.

And that's where the part about feigning ignorance on your subject matter comes in handy. It's not like Leto is working at the post-office. He's an actor that is well known for going method. 'Harassing' his co-workers (also fellow actors) is part of what he does. Pretty easy to understand if you actually think about

I think I just cracked the code for writing an AV Club article.

But the ads on YouTube provide the perfect opportunity to take bong hits.
