Guh, wow, epic mistype. 400 lol, man...I wish there was only 400 characters to learn. XD
I’ve seen k-dramas that were dubbed. I guess those are aimed at teens. The drama cross-pollination in Asia is weird right now, lol.

Haha, yeah, definitely not a perfect replacement, and there are varying levels of detail.
I think you missed some context when replying. Octopusssoup was pointing out that a previously posted source that was anti-Cesar Milan also endorsed anti-breed laws.
Got it, thanks! Sad that a university as reputable as Bristol decided to stand behind laws like that.
I wish you could buy countertop dishwashers in the US like they have in Japan... More economical in space and water, and no need to install and pay for a huge appliance. In a perfect world, haha...
Well, there are people who lose their hearing over time, or people who are only partially deaf. They may have heard the song before, or know of it in some way.
Not to mention the “creativity” of sentence structure and grammar. XD
It’s not an issue of translation or “creative” interpretation. The English subtitles should have been reflecting the original English audio.
I’m leaning towards we got trolled.
Which group was that?
Totally agree with you there. Most of the examples arguing against his methods talk about applying them in a way I’ve never seen on the show. I can’t say what he does off-screen, but I’ve binge-watched so many of Dog Whisperer that you’d think that they’d have caught him doing it the “wrong” way that they claim he…
English isn’t my parents’ first language, so they always have subtitles and closed caption on too. :D Sometimes they have trouble with understanding non-standard non-American accents, so Shakespeare is a great barrel of fun.
I watched Finding Nemo like that once. Turned on the English subtitles. Apparently Bruce the shark swears constantly. It was quite baffling, as I understand both English and Chinese, and neither audio version warranted the subtitled vulgarity.
Either it was a blind idiot translation or we all got trolled hard. XD
I’ve wished that the US would subtitle their shows for a while now. Closed caption technology is great and all, and the tech has improved a lot, but the lag and occasional mistitle still drives me up the wall.
You’ve made my day. Fyi. XD
I hear both G.U.I and “gewey” enough in the CS field for me think insisting that it should be one or the other is silly and pedantic.
And for the record, I hear “gewey” more.
...I’ve never heard of Bourbonais pronounced as anything but bur-bun-nay in Illinois. But Des Plaines (local pronunciation: dess planes) is a good one.
So is Lacroix, IA. But Des Moines has the French pronunciation.
Speaking of French, I guess everyone is okay with Paris being pariss and not pah-ree? XD
Magnesium is great, but it’s so hard to get just through eating actual food now. I could eat literally nothing but a pound of beans and greens for every meal every day of the week and still be deficient. Not to mention that I’d not be getting any other nutrients I needed in the meantime. And also puke afterwards. It’s…
Thanks for the warning. XD
Thanks for the warning. XD
Was also floored when I saw them in Pitch Perfect 2. XD Break the mold!
Totally agree with you, Robert. I’m on a cocktail of supplements right now, all prescribed by a doctor who’s current on nutritional research, all treating specific deficiencies found via blood tests. It’s perfectly good science, and it just plain works. I went from useless potato zombie to normal human being the day I…
