Good question- I suppose so. Maybe that’s not so great since it clearly wouldn’t fit. I grew up with tarts (which don’t require a vessel to hold the sides up) so that hadn’t occurred to me.
Good one! I imagine the only advantage an egg carton would theoretically have is that you could do a bunch all at once but for a home cook your hack is WAY better.
Yeah, I totally get that. I’ve been told that I focus overmuch on both meat and wholesale stuff generally. Even my buddy who’s really into survivalist stuff was like, “What on earth are you going to do with 20lbs of fish?” and that was after the quarantine had just started.
Sorry to cross the streams, I just saw we were holding parallel conversations in this thread. I’m not sure if this would work for you but we’re also in SoCal with limited space. You might want to check out these two wholesalers in Brea and Pico Rivera respectively:
Holy hell, that’s a great price! Good job finding that!

We do a similar step in our house after making corned beef hash. Instead of frying an egg (which is great, no shade there) we do a basted egg. It has a couple of advantages:
Is he just dough? I guess when I thought about it he seemed like steamed bao in color and texture. He even looks like the character from the Pixar short.
I was at that taping! I was trying to go to as many as I could before the podcast ended and was like, “Who’s this dude from Pitch Perfect again?”. Shame on me for not knowing because he was amazing.

Fun fact not mentioned in the link, Nabisco was formerly named the National Biscuit Company.
Oh, and this is using the same tech as the Jeopardy Watson, too. Not sure if that was obvious
A couple years back IBM had a Watson app that did the same thing with a bunch of recipes and you could sign up for the beta. It was kind of interesting- there were some obvious glitches (like when a recipe that was clearly for chicken or something would call for five pounds of mussels) but also some neat ideas that…
Just dropped in with a periodic reminder of a burglar that people rediscover and write about every 5 years or so. Dude’s name was Roofman and he would saw a hole in a McDonald’s franchise (frequently the roof) and drop in to rob it. Because McDonald’s layouts are so standardized and shift changes were scheduled at the…
Eh, at least there’s a little sandwich among the shit... Thanks for the resources! I’ll keep looking/trying and hopefully cobble together something not totally garbage and work up from there.
Sorry if this is outside your area of expertise but do you know of any blogging platforms that are designed with in accessibility in mind (for the audience)? I was about a to start a new project with social media and blogging and this article give me the briefest glimpse into the problems existing in many food blogs…
It was odd to see Dan Levy appearing the Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show, too. Nothing against the guy, I just didn’t realize he was in that caliber of hosting echelon.
I’ve never heard of this product! Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll definitely keep my eyes out for it.
