I can see how having something like 2 eurozones could be good economically great in the short term. Having Germany with northern Eurozone countries and Greece with Italy and other “lesser” Eurozone countries. However I am one of those guys who see a united Europe as something positive.

Slightly disagree with you. There spending is about standard for other EU countries. The big problem is rampant corruption and very poor tax collection. The big spenders in the EU might take about 60% from the rich while many Greek high rollers may pay nothing. Austerity was mainly supposed to get Greek to get its act…

Not quite fair... Greece isnt even trying to get its act together. Austerity isn’t good, but Germany is mostly asking the Greeks to simply start collecting taxes. Taxes can’t be voluntary.

A church tax has been common in many European countries for more than a century. Iceland, Finland, Austria, Denmark, and a few others have church taxes. However it is not really a progressive thing.

High School coaches spend most of their time telling their players the NBA isnt even basketball. I coach freshman girls basketball. The current men’s varsity coach won’t let his players wear anything NBA player related even in class.

On the weekend the jails are mostly full of drunks.

Most jails and prison are nothing like what you see in TV and movies. They are so underfunded. Sometimes on the weekend shift jails might have like two guards watching 30 people who are mostly drunks. When somebody takes a lunch you have one guy handling it all by themselves.
