I’ll disagree in this case. That yellow pops around the dark taillight in a nice way. And the jaggedy masking matches the whole aesthetic. Thumbs up.

So perfect. You guys should get COTD, this made my day. Probably too late for today, but I don’t care..

You gotta watch out for Tacoma. I grew up there, trust me on this.

Blasphemy! You would engrave the image of mighty Uklu on lowly earthly practical items? What next, the glorious and sacred American flag printed on a dirty mud flap?

Let’s all recite the NPOCP motto:

They never do around here... :(

Correct. Also, the availability of MS-DOS directly from Microsoft enabled clone makers and do-it-yourselfers to build compatible PC’s which would run the same software applications. Also, the reverse engineering of the PC BIOS was a big enabling factor.

Sadly, you are too right. We desperately need right-to-repair legislation at the national level. Odds of that happening: about the same as me winning the Powerball lottery today (hint: there is no drawing today).

Dammit, I pushed RESET by mistake again! (car reboots while travelling down the freeway are no joke)

This thread just made my day. COTM.

JAZ was the other one from IOMega. 1 or 2 GB cartridges I think. Trying to remember if that was the one with basically hard drive platters inside the cartridge..

Standardization makes it easier for more competitors to jump into the market.

Came here to make this comment. This is another big parallel to the PC world, where today what cooling system you’re going to use is one of the biggest choices you need to make when thinking about a custom PC build (liquid cooled, air cooled, how big, how many fans, how quiet or how high performance, etc. etc.)

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Actually, no. Back when I was in AP classes, that was definitely not a thing. Not that I claim to know exactly when the inflation started, but it is definitely a more recent occurrence.

Or something.

I totally saw the Eye of Sauron in there...

It’s smiling at us!

The headline says, “Model 3 Fighter”. (Not that I think that’s accurate, but that’s what the headline is claiming.)
