I’m not sure if the G930 has a similar problem, but my G230s actually shattered at the small plastic piece just above the headphone itself. The headphones are still usable, but the spinning peg tends to pop out, requiring a bit of fancy handiwork to fix.

I keep a tote in the back of my Legacy. Inside this plastic bin is basically a quick supply pack for my vehicle - a tarp, a picnic mat, space blanket, extra bottle of oil, Sustenance Snacks(tm), water bottles, deicer, and one of those little super-jump packs that’s saved me more than once.
