I have seriously NEVER considered the age, sex or race of the author before reading a book. Most of the time, I do not even know it, and quite frankly, I don't care.

I'm going to repost this on my own blog, word-for-word. You can't really get mad at me, though, because cultural criticism has always been based on borrowing ideas from other people, and there's only so many words in the English language.
