You wouldn’t be able to get back to your universe because you only have a time machine, and not a reality jumping machine. You would be stuck in the new timeline.

Maybe time travel takes into effect gravity pulling at time? Don’t Blackholes pull at time, slowing it down or something? That would then just keep you in the same possition. But I suppose if you had a time ship with hyperdrive technology it would be a who cares scenario where it becomes a moot point because you can…
What about Quantum Leaping your past? Maybe if instead of travelling through time we kind of reverse if while omiting ourselves from forgetting the future. Or sending our concous back through our timeline. We couldn’t off Hitler but we could then mess with the future as much as we wanted.
If you went back to those 5 minutes to kill yourself-wouldn’t your past self be ready for you to kill his future self first? Self preservation and all that?
Time doesn’t travel constantly. It flows at different speeds. The faster you move the slower time moves for you while it will stay the same to everyone else. Although, you would have to move a lot faster than 88 MPH to stay young while the universe moves forward without you lol.
Paradoxally I would have thought that if that bus did crash that only the youngest version of you would need to survive to keep the paradox away. As then time would keep flowing and that younger you would remember not to be so stupid when he gets his time machine in the future. The future yous can die, but past you…
I’m still wondering why anyone would want to try that. what if the paradox did happen and the universe ripped itself apart. Or maybe the universe would shrug because you were a menice and you and your family were unneeded, so let you fade away?
What if you can change the past and can’t at the same time? Maybe you can’t change YOUR timeline. But instead you create a new one? What if every possibility. Every infinate possibility all happens. Then you wouldn’t have to care about paradoxes at all. Because messing with the past just creates a side future in which…
