An origami book* I own actually has a tapeless wrapping method that’s pretty OP.

I’d just unplug the Tesla, then use my truck to gently move it off my property into the street.

Those Rajlinen sheets are for an RV bed - “short queen.”  Not real sheets.

Rebooked on another airline, waited until the last minute (just under six months), disputed on CC.  Got nearly $1K back!

That’s when I decided to learn how to do anything on a car that did not involve putting it on a lift

My father-in-law was a mechanic for 30 years; 20 of it he owned his own shop. He taught me to choose a mechanic based on one question: why?

...no, you can’t. $14,260 is MSRP for a base fiesta and that doesn’t include taxes, destination charge, etc. No way there’s a $4K+ rebate on a budget sedan.

Those are still $12-13K cars. No such animal as a $10K out the door car anymore.

Both of those are a $400/month payment on a loan with reasonable terms (not 20% down - HA - and not 72 or 84 months). That’s a crapload of net income. Where is the $9K Chevy Aveo (or, to go back another 20 years, Ford Escort) for working poor or for young families just starting out?

A better calculation for labor cost would be avg monthly FTE hrs/avg. # monthly pies * avg. hourly wage. That accounts for downtime etc. and will make your margin more realistic.  It also matches the methodology of your other calculations more closely.

A note on recycling the fancy paper bags: many components are not recyclable!

My city (Farmington, NM) signed in an ordinance in February, 2017 assessing a SURCHARGE onto the bills of electric customers who go solar.  This surcharge equals, and sometimes exceeds, the benefits of net metering...meaning they effectively killed solar in this town.  It’s an oil/gas/coal boomtown which has been in

Tie between The Phantom Menace and The Matrix: Reloaded. Both franchises would be better off without those sequels (yes, I am asserting that The Matrix should have been a standalone film).

I’d give her free food and a standing reservation every Tuesday. That way, I’d have many opportunities to say “See you next Tuesday!” to her dumb face weekly.

Almost forgot: the balls of my right foot hurt for 2 weeks after the move, which I dismissed at the time. About 18 months later, I had a massive clot in that same leg after another long and difficult drive; turns out I have concrete for blood. Also, that damn trip literally almost killed me.

Nah, raw’s fine; they’re all nice and tender. They eat way better than we do.

Moved 2,500 miles for my wife’s new job. Week before, my job (which had agreed to let me work remotely) reneged on its promise, so I was also job searching and stressed. Rented truck. Packed stuff, including 2 parakeets, 1 goldfish, and 1 disabled cat who can’t go to the bathroom on his own.

I was an altar server for years, and had a pretty traditional Catholic upbringing. At no point was the 11th commandment, “you don’t do interracial marriage, mentioned. I would have remembered.

    They said they were soar-y...
