Its the secret brother thing that makes it sucks to be honest. Maybe if there was flashbacks previously establishing their relationship, thus making us care, SHOWING us why we should care rather than TELLING us to care because he's his secret brother. Such a bizarre choice. Always SHOW us, never TELL us.

Real talk: its embarrassing in this day and age when a show doesn't reflect the diverse reality, especially if its set in New York City. If casting calls didn't actively discourage POC it'd be one thing, but I know too many talented actors who are turned away for roles simply because they were the wrong color. Nothing

"Me…I ponder a woman."
Oh you cheezy mother fucker that line is totally going to work isn't it?

Making him a boss was a mistake. I buy him more as a lone wolf psycho with an insane vendetta against Luke who's a thorn in the side of heroes and villains alike. Why would a smooth operator like Shades ever work for such a crazy person?

"How are we gonna get that shrapnel out of a man with unbreakable skin?"
"Dip him in acid."
-me at home-
HOLY FUCK that is…smart. But do you have to dip his ENTIRE BODY in there? Can't you just pour it on the affected areas? His fucking HEAD is in ACID.

Been a fan of the dude since THE 4400, glad to see him continuing the tradition of awesome Netflix Marvel villains.

There's a character who pops up from JJ but all you really need to know is that she's a nurse, she helps super heroes, and she's a wonderful selfless person who connects all the Netflix shows. THE NIGHT NURSE!

At least go to a strip club out of town! You got a million bucks! Is your imagination so little? Yeeeeesh.

Ooops, sorry for talking about future episode plot lines in an old episode thread, just assuming everyone has binged already my mistake!

Now you're making me regret that Bruce Lee wasn't born later so he could be in movies that used him properly.

"My family hasn't visited me since I got inside." = Instant sympathy even though you know he's doomed.

I'm hoping this gets resolved in THE DEFENDERS and we learn all about the evil corporation that gave Jessica, Luke and probably even Matt their super powers. (truck full of toxic waste was probably the same company, mark me words!)

You know, as much as I loved the guy who played Squabbles, does anyone else think this season would have worked a lot better if that character was Diamondback? Unexpected return of Luke's old friend from prison who Luke thought was dead but instead was ALSO used in an experiment and blames Luke for some reason? That's

Oh how I lament any program that feels the need to "explain" their jokes. Jokes don't need to be explained! That's what makes them JOKES!

If Diamondback was always this crazy, I don't buy for a second that smooth operator like Shades would work for him. Especially if his job is to represent him. Shades having second thoughts about Diamondback slipping was exactly the same as Shades having second thoughts about Cottonmouth slipping. Diamondback never

Call me a sap but one of the things I'm looking forward to most in THE DEFENDERS is seeing how they handle these relationships. Luke and Jessica's awkward reunion, Misty and Danny's meet cute and of course Power Man and Iron Fist mistaking each other for villains and having a classic hero vs hero brawl.

Diamondback just doesn't work as a boss. Not when you have Cottonmouth to compare him too. As a lone wolf psycho with a lot of heavy artillery who's a thorn in the side of heroes AND villains? Much better.

"Hey Jessica, remember how I was mad about you killing my wife? Well, turns out she lied, and was playing me the whole time. So when we hook up it'll be less awkward now."

Hey, this is where it was always going, reel in the big bucks with DOCTOR WHO and FRIENDS and whatnot, make enough money to make your own kick ass original content, then by the time people realize there's not much left BUT original content, you've already got them hooked.
