These embedded Twitter videos never work for me. I’m in Chrome on mobile — the player just disappears after I click the button.

Still though. Spelling aside, there oughta be a better word for that.

Gotta be a better word for that than ‘ablest’.

Based on Kinja’s design, I’ve always suspected that trolls are a feature, not a bug.

That sounds inherently misogynistic to me for some reason.

That’s not how it’s typically used, but is still a fine use for it. Pick your pedant battles!

Hey, you finally figured out what wire fraud is! Only took you, what, a week to make the distinction after I was leading you there by the fucking nose.

Eh, maybe if Trump plays ball. If not, Pence has connections. They could just wait for some inevitable gaffe and oust Trump in favor of Pence. As long as it’s a Republican in the Oval Office it’s all gravy.

“After much prayer, and speaking with my wife, I have begun troop movements in Iran.”

No, they would definitely rationalize it. “See? The lefty media/politicos forced him out! This just shows you can’t trust any of them! This is Paul Ryan’s fault for not murdering Obama or something!”

“Coins convert to real $.”

Yes, they have selected their new scapegoat in chief. They will tear into him again the moment blood is drawn. The trick will be drawing that first blood.

Machines and servers don’t THINK anything.

“Obtaining undeserved goods or services of value through deceit, virtual or real, is all it takes.” This is a bad and wrong definition of fraud.

Sure, but I would be lying to the bodega operator (a human being, who can be lied to) and the bag of chips is a physical good, which is ‘lost’ to the bodega when I take it. In this example, I have lied and harmed another person.

Because fraud is a specifically defined thing, as crimes tend to be, and you can’t defraud a machine. EA servers don’t ‘think’ anything. Numbers go in, other numbers go out. It can’t be deceived. You can’t deceive a roadway or an airplane or a video game. You can’t defraud a pay phone. It’s just not what fraud is.

Where is the fraud, though? The FIFA coins they sell are legitimate FIFA coins, right? Awarded to them? Redeemable for... FIFA goods?
