Love it, though I will say I’ve given up searing most roasts I make in the IP. For one the IP itself isn’t a great vessel, and if I’m using the IP it’s probably because I’m making the “lazy” version of a recipe.

Those controllers look like garbage

Cruz also has deep local ties and remains fluent in his native Canadian.

I’m thinking of using this as a filling in a lasagna.

I’ll give it at least four episodes than. Thanks!

That’s true at all restaurants, all the time. Food cost at most restaurants is around 30%, so this is in line with that at least.

I also wonder if VAT or sales or whatever other taxes are also included in the menu price as is typical abroad. I agree, it all looks overpriced, I suppose my broader point is that US menu prices to those abroad are rarely apples to apples, or even apples to oranges (both fruits at least).

I guess my firm just has a more lax travel reimbursement policy. If I remember right (from my training a decade ago) they used to be more draconian but found the money they spent scrutinizing expense reports exceeded the money recovered from expenses beyond those allowed. And of course it annoyed employees to have to

That doesn’t always work out either:

The most important question has not been asked:

I think you meant to say “Hey dumbfuck, quit trying to poison people, tomatoes are no guarantee against botulism in canning, just like being a food writer is no guarantee you know what the fuck you are talking about.”

You’re on an expense account. Double whatever you tip when it’s out of your own pocket.

Yes, guns raise the risk factor exponentially, but I still don’t understand the motivation. A hammer can kill you too.

How the fuck did an Alaskan TV station find a black woman to work for it in the first place?

Keep in mind they don’t tip, servers earn wages so restaurant menu prices are higher but the bill ends up about the same. Your point stands if it were $10 but perhaps this mitigates it somewhat.

So I watched about 15 minutes of the first episode and was unimpressed. But it sounds like it should be in my wheelhouse. How long/many episodes does it need for one to make a reasonable assessment? Same question for Rick and Morty, I can’t tell if they are related (in tone and style, not universe).

Regardless of whether cops as a population are shittier than the whole (narrator: they are), because the police pile is much smaller, the bad apples more easily infest the “good” ones.

Oregon. Delaware. Alaska. Montana. New Hampshire.

It’s a day late, but at my precinct in Buffalo, NY they ran out of ballots mid-afternoon. Voters were asked to wait around for an hour while they fetched more.

His family isn’t getting shit from the city, after all, it’s not an officer involved shooting (except for the part where they treat the cop like it is).
