The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It’s so clunky compared to later Scrolls games, but Morrowind helped me cope with severe depression and anxiety (I’m writing an article about it!), and it’s basically one of a small handful of games that essentially saved my life. Despite the game’s endless flaws, it means a lot to me.

This is so relatable. I’m trying to make it as a writer/game designer in NYC. As you likely know, it’s expensive as hell to live here. Add this to the depression and anxiety I suffer from, too. Games indeed help me feel accomplished; beating a difficult game makes me feel like I can really do the things I want to do

Man...I mean, it’s not really Best’s fault.

Excellent interview. Best of luck to Narcissa.

I didn't really go nuts durin the Steam Winter Sale, but I did get ROM, and am looking forward to starting it hopefully tonight.

I'm writing an article about Guitar Hero Live, then getting back to work on my game-in-development :)

Love it. Summer/Winter sales will be so much more relaxing now. Ahhhhh...

Thus begins the cycle of “everyone’s underwhelmed by Nintendo product,” followed swiftly by “everyone plays/loves it.” See: amiibo.

So, not the Nightwish album then?

I am playing through the entire Halo series for the first time, courtesy of the Master Chief collection. I had never played the games aside from a couple of multiplayer matches and a tiny bit of the first game’s canpaign. I’m now in the middle of ODST. I may write an article about what it’s like playing this popular

I'm currently in the middle of a replay of Alpha Protocol, after a friend kept suggesting I retry it.

Probably the best clip I'll see ever.

Good. This crap isn't a joke.

Welcome!

That combat and side scrolling view is reminiscent of Valkyrie Profile. Specifically VP2: Silmeria. And that's quite a dev team. I'm intrigued!

Hope they continue making this. Could be something really special.

This is my feeling exactly. Nothing really jumped out at me this year. I'm also into Steam and quirky indie titles, and I've written before how giant, flashy, awesome games might not do it for me anymore.

Hmm. This could've been a good game if it wasn't so blatantly stupid. Alas, this'll be the first, last, and only footage I watch. Thanks for braving this game, Mike!

I’d like to point out that the “Brian White” in the tweets up there isn’t me :)
