I like the OPI one.

For me it’s that it tried to profess to be a show for nerds, but instead it mostly seems to mock them. Every time I’ve tried to watch an episode (because they keep somehow pulling great guest stars that I want to support), the main “jokes” seem to be basically laughing at people for being smart. Like someone would use

My dad’s starting to get on my case about kids :(

I don’t even understand why that would be so unpatriotic.  Like I know you’re supposed to use your right hand but I could imagine some left handed people putting their left hand up without thinking about it.  How would that be some terrible unpatriotic act!??

I don’t like how dark he makes everything!

I think taking into account what your spouse likes is good, as long as you also take into account what you like. You just have to weigh how much you want it with how much you care if your spouse doesn’t like it.

I’m not sure how I feel about this, but I am sure that all of the comments saying “just play video games instead” seem off base. There are levels of interaction, and a video game is significantly more interaction than a “choose-your-own-adventure” show would be. Maybe I’m underestimating how many choices they would

My first reaction to the commercials that are like “Mom, dad, did you know that I could have gotten a shot that would prevent this? How could you let this happen?” were cringey but I guess that’s really the angle we have to take to combat attitudes like that.

This is my favorite thing that I’ve ever seen wished on someone terrible.  Storing this away for future use...

“Congress shall make no law preventing the trashing of a dumb book, or prohibiting the free shading thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of babe dot net to peaceably critique ‘abstract manifestos for disruptive creativity’ written by an Insta-famous weirdo obsessed with talking

I know this is an old piece but I still wanted to comment how great it is!  I don’t have kids but I never really thought before how so many of us are taught to make empty apologies early in life.

I get a bunch of those every time I go to a place that has games with ticket redemption.

Yes, I love cereal and eat it a lot. Not, like, daily... but more than once a month. IMO one of the best parts of being an adult is that I can eat Lucky Charms or Reese’s puffs for dinner if I want to.

Was gonna vote for Kitchen Confidential as most memorable role lol.

For me it was Twin Peaks.

I haven’t, but it’s on my list!

That’s my favorite double feature!!! Sometimes I turn it into an Alan Cumming marathon with Reefer Madness.

I think he was not saying they couldn’t find an Asian-American actress—he was saying they didn’t bother to try and he realizes now why that is wrong, and that he would try to be more proactive about things like that in the future.
