I actually laughed out loud at “hours, not theirs.”

Amazon makes food!???

Colleges use admissions-test results to determine college readiness like the NBA uses height: It is definitely important, but it is not the determining factor. Thinking that white applicants are better students because they score higher is like believing Dikembe Mutombo is better than Michael Jordan simply because

That’s really interesting to me that that was on a state test! We did that in a couple of classes, but it was an assignment that was specifically designed for us to fail, to understand how difficult it is to be specific enough.

The apology is somehow almost more offensive than the original emails. I don’t know, it’s tough to say, it’s all so terrible.

Good to know! My husband and I have made “mashed” cauliflower a couple of times (though we haven’t not really succeeded in getting it all that mashed to be honest) and would like to do it more, but cutting up a whole cauliflower is pretty messy! I didn’t know to expect it could kind of crumble apart.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. It’s a nice dream, and would be an excellent visual, but it doesn’t seem like it could possibly play out that way. I will keep fantasizing though!

You just listed three of my favorite things to buy at the grocery store.

I’ve been wondering how that would go down—would there have to be some kind of showdown between the FBI and the Secret Service?

Not only are they not the same, they’re not even similar. This is a ridiculous comment.

FWIW I do not have ADHD but definitely still struggle to make myself do laundry. I don’t think that makes us any less grown up!

Yeah I feel like there is a gap between “flammable” and “will spontaneously combust in your pocket”

Well those are two really different scenarios! The cast of Friends was famously very close so it’s more understandable for people to be interested in that IMO.

I mean, you basically implied that you think anyone who works for an insurance company must be a bad person. It’s reasonable that’s going to make some people who work for insurance companies defensive.
