He played an icon and it didn’t change his personality. That’s how you know there was a genuine individual under those tights.

Come on. This:
I think they had the right person at one point.
Tom Welling is really the obvious choice. After spending 10 years in Smallville, it’s time to give the guy a cape. He is TV’s Superman.
I think the worst part is that Cavill would be an awesome Superman with the right script and direction, but he simply doesn’t have it.
This isn’t how the world of DC works anymore. Geoff Johns, co runs that shit, and he knows how these deficiencies, effect these shows. Now, Supergirl has Superman, and that means Ollie and Barry have a SUPERMAN!

I’m the same I think, the overall plot of DM is better so far imo, but the chemistry and day to day happenings of KJ is more entertaining for me on an episode to episode watch kinda thing.
I’m so happy these two and The Expanse received a second season. I’m also glad they spent so much time with character development. It’s the foundation for everything else that happens to the crews.
No sign of more Fancy Lee. Will there be more Fancy Lee? I'd like to see him join the Killjoys crew full time.
I was definitely missing shows like these two. The soft sci fi space opera/adventure genre has been a part of my TV viewing habits for as long as I can remember, and not having it in the last few years has just felt wrong, somehow. I’m glad they both got renewed and I look forward to enjoying their second seasons.
“The only difference would be, if they truly are using cane juice that was evaporated rather than just rebranding white sugar, there would be more nutrients and electrolytes.”
“To my mind, I wouldn’t think of sugar if someone told me to add ‘evaporated beet juice’ to my cooking.”
I loved the idea (which they also decided not to do, for some reason) when they made the Bewitched movie a few years ago, they were going to have Will Ferrell play Darrin for the first half and then Jim Carrey would play him for the second half without explanation or commenting on it. It would have maybe made that…
What always baffled me - here’s a show where the premise of changing the actor is baked into the very DNA of the show. One nose twitch and POW! New actor built into the story! But having it pass without comment was just lazy.
There is never a statute of limitations on complaining.
Seconded. The first five minutes of that movie is a horror story in and of itself. Everything after just tells me that I will never, ever go caving.
Completely agree, that movie was two different horror movies in one. It deserves more recognition.
Great list, there’s a lot I haven’t seen, totally agree about It Follows being #1. That sparked days of conversation about what “It” actually was. That and Babadook did a great job with metaphorical horrors which is something horror films miss these days. I definitely want to watch The Witch, and I’m excited about The…
