Very simple supply and demand. It’s just reversed. Electric cars demand consumers with very high incomes, an appetite for higher interest rate loan payments, and flexibility to install home chargers. There is a limited supply of those consumers.
We have two $1000+ car payments each month but really not sure how to avoid these high monthly payments if you want a nice car, don’t want to pay cash and don’t want a ridiculously long loan term.
