The right answer is Odyssey but my wife vetoed the minivan idea too and we ended up in an X7.

headlines gonna headline

Tesla provides the best charging network but they don't make the best EVs.

Not just EVs though. Both the iX AND X7 Facebook groups are loaded with posts about premature tire wear. Most people seem to go with the 22 inch wheel option and those typically come stocked with summer performance tires that seem to wear more quickly. Manufacturers are also not likely to prioritize tire life when

I mean when you keep making the same cars (mostly unchanged) for a decade (or more) you probably will have worked out most of the kinks.

People get so easily worked up over things that really have to impact on their lives. It's a walkway so just keep moving.

Tesla’s future is as an energy delivery company.

Who out there actually wants one of these and why?

“the regen is insane in this thing!” driving on a track with half a car, no racing seats/harness and no helmet. good news is he is still alive. bad news is he is still out there driving amongst us.

Digital key. Just don't trust it.  Already have the convenience of leaving the key in a pocket and prefer the peace of mind knowing it's there.

iX is excellent. 9 months of trouble free ownership. Drives beautifully.

an old Audi is indeed scary.

It’s certainly an oversimplification. But there is a smaller pool of shoppers available to buy these cars - not just EVS but expensive cars in general. And higher rates do change the math quite bit when financing. The elimination of the tax credit last year didn’t help either. I’ll just take myself as an example:

Very simple supply and demand. It’s just reversed. Electric cars demand consumers with very high incomes, an appetite for higher interest rate loan payments, and flexibility to install home chargers. There is a limited supply of those consumers.

We have two $1000+ car payments each month but really not sure how to avoid these high monthly payments if you want a nice car, don’t want to pay cash and don’t want a ridiculously long loan term.

Tried the chopped brisket at their SC location. First half of my sandwich was pretty tasty and then the brisket started tasting like burning tires. So they may not have the highest quality wood and charcoal in their smokers.

It drives beautifully though.

They had a blindfold pin the part on the car game when building the Camry.

FWIW when I ordered my iX I was quoted a delivery estimate of 9 months. Car arrived at the port here just shy of 9 months from the date of order. Communication throughout was clear even with BMW changing package configurations at least twice and removing some features during certain build windows due to supply

Perhaps they should look to shift some of the utility tax revenues which would presumably increase with more EV adoption. Also, a $200 per year fee seems a little steep. Wouldn’t the average driver pay about half of that in gas taxes?
