Alta Vista all the way. I built my first website in 1995 and the first search engine I’d submit to was AV. When Google came around I refused (for unremembered reasons) to use the site and instead stuck with AV. 

I like the idea but, as others have said, touch-tone would be better. It would also allow for a smaller design.

You’d think that the southern states would band together, but the last time that happened it ended poorly.

April, 1997. I ordered The Spear of Mars, an out-of-print book in the Future At War series. It wasn’t until September, 1998 that it was delivered. 

It’s pretty good. I got the book because it is loaded with non-fiction pieces too. If memory serves, Pournelle’s Pesky Belters is in one of the Future At War volumes.

I made my first Amazon order in April of 1997 for an out-of-print book (The Spear of Mars). It wasn’t delivered until September of 1998 when they finally found a copy.

Nice writeup. I really appreciate the fact that the Expanse Writers crafted this as a potentially series-ending set of episodes. Knowing what comes next in the books, I would’ve been satisfied with that ending had the show not found a new home. I’m equally excited by what comes next and what Amazon can do with the

I’ve been waiting to see the Behemoth spin up the gravity for weeks. I was a little disappointed that the images deviated from my imagination. I guess I’ve read too much Gerard O’Neill since I was already picturing vast areas waiting to be covered in sod.
