I can tell you a story how my mother had a serious side-eye moment when this white lady at Trader Joe's tried told her she could easily substitute kale for collards during Thanksgiving.
One of my biggest pet peeves when discussing race? Someone…well anyone of another race telling me how I should think/feel/ act. I think it's beyond condescending. Imagine me..telling a group of educated/liberal/vegan/ puedo-intellectuals how they should feel about True Detective or almond milk?
