I couldn't agree more.

It looked great. The story was capably executed, but derivative and unremarkable. It's not shit, and you probably wouldn't be angry about seeing it. On the other hand, there's nothing about it that makes you want to watch any of it a second time.
Right. 'cause those neighborhoods looked so great beforehand. New Jersey's pretty ugly until you get to countryside or wealthier areas.
They're using presses, which is what's so weird about this. In the rest of the word scribes retired about 5 minutes after presses showed up.
Good luck Square. If there's a real demand for this, competitors (carriers, Apple, etc.) will swoop in with NFC solutions and crush them.
I think Big Z's just biding his time at the moment. Post-rapture he'll come back into his own. He was always much more sinner-friendly, as far as Christians are concerned, and will really be able to focus on his core audience (unfaithful husbands, IIRC).
It's not a literal LA layout. Like the last GTA just tried to give a rough feel of the various neighborhoods and a general layout. Hollywood might be a little more accurate - I haven't made it that far yet - but downtown and Koreatown aren't.
You mean the heathens have to put up with the saved for an extra hour. The rapture will (allegedly) take away all the righteous and leave behind the sinners.
Actually, because we think something's silly does give us the right to publicly mock people for being silly. This an absurd "event" important to a very small number of people who follow one particular cult leader notorious for mis-predicting the end of the world a number of times.
Absolutely. Between keeping the volume down so I don't wake my sleeping kids and simply not wanting to miss dialog (can't easily go back 7 seconds like my TiVo), I turn on subtitles before I start any game.
And yet car brokers manage to handle all of that just fine without any inventory and only a small office and minimal markup. We once purchased through a broker and never even met them until we got the keys (everything else handled via email and phone).
I was thinking the same thing. Facebook causes divorce the way security cameras cause bank robberies.
So, this is just like mp3.com (sued out of existence 10 years ago) but with more tedious uploading, right?
It really depends if they had the boat waterproofed or not.
23,730 and I know plenty of people >100k. As long as you have fast search or good organization, why delete anything other than spam?
It's very flawed. Apple themselves on their previous calendar syncing system and moved over to CalDAV recently. Their email syncing is nothing more than IMAP. Their contact syncing, while offering many benefits over other systems, is prone to many errors and sooner or later your address book will corrupt. And iDisk…
Vegetable...leather? Huh?
Think about all of the teams around Pakistan and Afghanistan who must have been observing houses that ended up not containing bin Laden. How much would that suck to be the guys assigned to one of the wrong houses, who won't get credit for any of this?
I agree that what we consider education should be revisited. There will always be arbitrary knowledge taught, but the value isn't necessarily in the knowledge itself. Those things teach different was of thinking and solving problems. Shakespeare forces a person to be able to abstract the English language well…
I hope you're saying that tongue in cheek. If we all only pay for what we ourselves directly use, we'll end up turning into Nigeria. Sure, if you've got money the compound you live in might be very nice, but outside your walls is a dangerous, crumbling, illiterate world that isn't going to improve.
