Why wouldn’t F1 want to race in US? Liberty Media has an ownership stake in F1. If they see the potential for money (since American consumers outspend Europeans by a big margin), that already means they care about US market.

Purpose-built tracks are too expensive to build and maintain. They also don’t generate as much revenue for FOM or local businesses. Street tracks are the future of any road racing (except Le Mans maybe). There is a reason why all new F1 tracks have been street tracks.

The bridge is actually 4(?) bridges on that intersection that connect all 4 corners of the Strip in that part. Since the track will be closed, the bridge has to stay open if you want people to cross the streets. The other footbridge is at Caesars and that’s fucking far as shit.
