Personally, the Elena/Damon continuous love complications are a painful symptom of what's been a core problem in the show. The writers are fascinated with the idea of abstract, outside forces that complicate relationships.

I don't know, as a hispanic man I don't like the limitation that I couldn't date the President's daughter without probably being shot at by skinheads. But then again I could sue them afterwards…
How is this even a question, Whore Island it is. Or is it just an unincorporated territory?
But who knows what exciting antics you'll miss. Will Caroline throw another themed party? Will Jeremy continue to be useless? Will Elena keep bouncing back between brothers? The sky's the limit!
I hope that's a misquote, because Katherine Pierce is the best part of this show, besides the nobility that is Matty blue eyes. After this, it just feels like we're getting pulled back to the dull antics of inept vampires in Bumblefuck, Virginia.
This town has been so fucked over on so many levels, its a shock they still have basic utilities. It's economy might as well run on monopoly money
You sir have a million dollar idea. Seriously though someone kickstarter that!
Yeah. With all the batshit insaninity of the constant danger in her life, it was easy to build Elena's character around doing whatever it took to save her friends and family. But besides that, the show hasn't answered any basic questions about what Elena wants. What are her dreams? I can't even imagine a daily thought…
"Hybrid beats vampire" (proceeds to get beaten up by vampires twice in as many episodes)
I liked season 6, it had the last of the truly great A episodes of the show, even if it squandered most of its plot threads. But 7 and 8 for me are the worst of the show.
But then if Diggle's the PA, you still need a bodyguard. Someone who's constantly watching out for danger can't be fiddling with an Ipad and making a schedule.
I would totally watch a series called:
Any future technobabble exposition will be delivered while she plays with a ball of yarn
I don't share your opinion. Her issues about self-worth in the team were very easy to relate with. Felicityis essentially an everyman on the team in comparison to the soldiers that the rest are. And when new addition Sara came in, showing hidden tech skills as well at a time when a villain is destroying her in tech…
Yeah saying it out loud just makes it sound kind of pathetic. I can't remember if they even mentioned his wife's name at all. And that's his wife that he's in all likelihood known for years. It also doesn't help that the way they wrote Shado's death was kind of ridiculous in the first place, the end goal being to fuel…
If they go that route, it has to be Felicity. The superhero nickname "Feline-city" just writes itself.
I remember when I thought he was just gruff muscle, but then that scene with Naevia and Crixus after he accidentally blew the whistle on their relationship… It killed me.
In addition to the well-groomed hair the men have, ARGUS apparently has a stylist on staff. I mean they might be using prisoners to undergo suicide missions, but they're not complete monsters
Just realized that Felicity is apparently the only person on this show that hasn't had sex in 2 years. Now THAT'S the most unbelievable detail of this universe
It's called science!
