Seconded. I love my iPhone... but gaming on it is just not real gaming. It really does amount to a handful of cheap (or free) games to play on the toilet. I may have Sonic 4, Sonic CD, and Ridge Racer on my iPhone. But, usually when the time comes to play a game on my phone, I just end up playing Solitaire.

Pretty much. It's a pretty depressing prospect that this is basically business as usual, but, well... there it is.

It's possible that chickens are just a pile of meat devoid of consciousness. But, it's also possible that they are quite aware of their suffering. You don't know for sure one way or the other. Nor do I.

While rather shocking (no less than what's currently the norm, though), this is worth considering.

Hm, Apple really do charge a lot for RAM and SSDs, don't they? I upgraded the RAM on it myself and didn't get the SSD which apparently saved me a good 700 bucks. Though, even the 2.4ghz i7 is a quad core, as opposed to the dual core in the Blade. Granted, I have no idea how effectively games use four cores are this

I do like this thing... or at least the idea of this thing. But, that could be because I'm not a PC gamer. Not really. The PC games I play these days run quite nicely on my 15" Macbook Pro. My PS3 handles the rest just fine. I don't play enough PC games to warrant having a desktop... which is why I sold it. So, I do

Once the price approaches what I arbitrarily deem to be reasonable, and the game lineup includes a few must-haves, and I buy one:

I bought Skyrim for PS3. These really bad game-breaking bugs haven't affected me at all... and that's mostly because I haven't played the game enough to encounter them. Frankly, I just can't find the motivation to play it. Bethesda's brand of big, buggy world with pointless, one dimensional, characters, and some of

I agree... but do the people you describe actually exist? I can't fathom it. I'm most definitely prefer single player games over multiplayer. But, I know that Battlefield, Call of Duty, etc. are games that heavily emphasize multiplayer. As such... I don't buy any of them. I don't get pissed off that their single

Yeah, count me in. To me, gaming is equivalent to reading a good book or watching a good movie. It needs to be fun, engaging, and thought provoking. I don't play games to get good at them. If I'm going to put time into improve my skill at something, I'll put that time into practicing keyboard or guitar.

I'd absolutely love to get all the sleep I need. You don't need to convince me of that at all. But, those 9-10 hours I need to feel positively great aren't very compatible with society. I can get by with 8, but I'll usually have numerous crashes throughout the day. Less than 8, and my eyes burn for hours, I feel

I've done both out of necessity. I used to have my PS3 plugged into my computer monitor, and played at my desk. It's alright, but I find playing on a couch much, much more comfortable.

I don't think all cases are automatically ugly, for one. I think it's a nice opportunity to personalize an already nice design. I bought a nice green ifrogz snap case for my iPhone, and while I don't always use it, I do like the look.

These "Apple is awful to work for" stories are amusing. It feels like the media is trying to make a massive deal about it, but reading the comments section, it looks like most people think they're being totally reasonable and are actually questioning the reliability of the source.

Bingo. I love Bioware games for exactly this reason. When I play Skyrim, I have basically zero emotional motivation to do anything beyond "I wonder what's over here". Bioware's games present me with characters I actually care about and connect with emotionally.

HTC, Samsung, and Motorola should all be looking at Sony as an example of how to do it right. Their lineup is awesome and concise, with every phone offering something the rest don't.

I used to have a pet snail. My mom found it in some raspberries she bought from the grocery store. Calgary generally isn't very hospitable to snails otherwise... either too dry or too cold... or both. It started out about as small as those pictured. We kept the little guy/gal (well, both, if we're being accurate) and

Holy crap seconded.

Having just dealt with 4 days of sub -20 temperatures, 3 of which were hovering around -30... yeah I'm going nuts and hate it. I really do wish I could just stay at home, surrounded by space heaters, take-out Pho, and my favourite screens (Macbook, iPhone, Kindle) for these mega-cold spells. I may try to put that in
