I don't use Windows 7 primarily, but daaaamn I agree. Particularly on the Library-esque stuff. I'm fine with Libraries themselves when I use it basically as a shortcut. That's fine. I have different kinds of files spread out over multiple drives, so that actually makes life a bit easier. But, the home folder in

OS X: The fact that I can't legitimately install it on my self-built desktop.

That seems pretty ridiculous to me. Instead of targeting the actual issue of WHY they're cutting class, they're just punishing them into submission...

So, they're doing it in "Neo-New York" now? That's rather lame...

Brilliant! I've been annoyed by this for years. My alarm clock even has a light sensor, so it apparently turns down the brightness when it's dark... but nowhere near enough.

Well, yeah, there is that. But, I still think that's a lot better than the complete ambiguity of Android updates. With the iPhone updates, phones with hardware that can't support the new features won't get those new features. That's why the 3G didn't get multitasking, but the rest did. And considering people usually

The only zombies I find properly terrifying are the jumpy fast ones. Perfect examples: The jumpers in Half Life 2, in Ravenholm. Those guys scared the shit out of me. The rest I really just find funny.

Isn't 2.3 going to be available on a bunch of new devices shortly (Galaxy S II, Desire 2, various new Sony Ericssons)?

I guess it really comes down to how value is assigned. I love this idea, and I'd love it more if it were applied beyond games. As I understand it, with most forms of media, you're paying mostly for the content... "intellectual property", and a small proportion of the cost comes from the storage medium. It would be

The move definitely makes sense overall. I can understand why they didn't go with Android. But, it also ensures that I likely won't be buying another Nokia phone. I've played with WP7 here and there, and it just isn't for me. It's a pretty good OS, fast, stable, really easy to learn. But, I found it pretty limiting

I agree, it would definitely help if they could establish a better presence in North America. I don't blame them for dropping CDMA, though. GSM is pretty much the global standard by now. Even Canada, which was pretty firmly entrenched in CDMA just a year or two ago, has almost completely switched to GSM (and HSPA). It

I read Engadget's version of this article at the bar while waiting for a friend to arrive... on my Nokia E71. It was definitely a very interesting read... particularly the memo in full.

A few things I'd like to see:

@YummyCyanide: Not even. Most people don't even seem to care about it. It's really just a few tech companies that are pushing it.

Computer(s):

Either my PS3 or iPod Nano. The former has opened me up to a whole new world of games. The latter has made working out so much more pleasant than before (iPod Nano weighs a fuckofalot less than an iPod Classic).

@Taggart6: I'm not really sure if I'll get this for PC or PS3. My gaming PC has held up very well for over 3 years now, but it is starting to slowly show its age. And I have a core 2 duo, not a quad core. So... I can see this game running less than optimally on it.

@Culebra: Agreed. On everything. Deus Ex is one of my favorite games ever. I still replay it here and there. I'm looking forward to Human Revolution, dare I say, more than Mass Effect 3.

This seems rather silly to me. Sure, suggest they try some other operating systems (but WP7 over Android?). But, to completely write off Meego before it's even been seen on a Nokia phone is a bit much.
