How is Takata even a company anymore? Did they ever actually sell an airbag that worked the way it was intended to?

It’s funny how Russia acts like a jealous, abusive ex to bordering countries like Finland and former Warsaw Pact allies like Estonia. They realized that life with the USSR/Russia as a primary ally was terrible, and now they are cozying up with a newer and nicer NATO allies.

Early on in this whole deal it came out that Honda found out about the problem way earlier than anybody else did (2004), and decided to do nothing about it, for FOUR YEARS. That’s pretty complicit.

Neutral: I’m reminded of a certain Autoblopnik article. But for real though, screw Takata. I think this is definitely more heinous than the GM ignition switch scandal, and WAY more heinous than the VW emissions scandal.

I really don’t think you need much more than 6 speeds. Maaaaaaaaaybe seven.

It couldn’t figure out what gear it wanted to be in, so it’s constantly changing, all the time. Also, every time I came to a stop at a light, it would downshift most unsmoothly, and you would lurch in your seat. That got very old.

Neutral: Good Riddance. The 200 was awful. That gearbox was so infuriating.

That’s basically most FCA though, isn’t it? Very snazzy looking, but once you spend some time with many of their products, you realize it just isn’t that well executed.
