Hey Tyler, Could you do a write up on the capabilities of the new AH-64Es? I’ve heard they’re awesome, but haven’t heard much context beyond that.
David, you were at UVA at the same time I was at Tech, and I have several friends who did engineering at UVA (hell, I was dating someone who went to UVA around that time). I refuse to believe that we don’t have at least one friend in common.
I have leather in one of my VWs, and leatherette in the other, and I get the feeling the leatherette will look much nicer at 100k miles than the leather will
Funny thing, I’ll be putting it up for sale very soon.
A family friend of ours grew up on a dairy farm, and my parents once asked him if he had a favorite cow.
He said, “yeah, 43 was pretty cool.”
Like most things, if you take care of it, it holds up pretty well. If you don’t, then it wont.
“Yeah, and uh.. find out if the cow had a name, let’s embroider that on the seats as well.”
The VW “Leatherette” vinyl is an amazing seat material. It’s way tougher than cloth or leather, and its still pretty soft. It basically has all of the benefits of leather, and all of the benefits of cloth, with very few downsides.
if you’re vegan and want things to feel like they’re covered in the skin of a dead animal, but really aren’t
Just put some sonobouys and a MAD boom on an F/A-18E and call it a day! While we’re at it, lets go ahead and put a giant radome on it as well, and retire the E-2!
That is a good point. For someone who would pick one up as a CPO, which would end up being the better deal? Would the BMW depreciate more?
One one hand this is the only current BMW I actually care about.
Honestly, I think that’s GM’s marketing department to blame. They should be shouting from the rooftops how much better the Volt is than the Prius.
It’s so true though. A Prius is a $12,000 car with $13,000 in fancy drive train under it. Even the top trim levels look like crap, and you can’t even get leather. The Volt is SOOOO much better.
I really think it was just a bit ahead of it’s time. I don’t think John Q Public was ready for what was basically an electric car, and it wasn’t marketed the way that the Prius was. The Prius was shown to the world as the solution to human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, and mass hysteria. Then, probably…
And it’s a really good one at that. If you can’t afford a Tesla, and you need to drive more than 50 miles in a day occasionally, it’s the best option. It has all of the benefits of an Electric car with very few downsides. The only issue is that to plug it in, you need to live somewhere that allows it.
I don’t know why you’re crapping all over the Volt. It’s a really great car. It’s sooo much nicer than a Prius or any electric car in that price range, has no range anxiety, and most owners only end up getting gas a handful of times a year. If you live less than 15-20 miles from work, the Volt is fantastic.
It’s technically an Extended Range Electric Vehicle, and it’s the best one on the market. It’s way better than a Prius, and it eliminates any fear of range anxiety. Plus, most people rarely have to put gas in it.
