That is sad. One union school in my area has a 3 week program. The one I attended ran from August to December, though. The (lack of) extensiveness of training shows in the quality of driver being graduated to the real-life roads.

Having had the CDL-A training myself, and being from the area you mention, I AGREE! Some “truckers” are goofs, but watch out for those “cages”! I see “cagers” pulling out in front of “semis” on I-81, not signaling, moving from the inside lane to the extreme outside lane to take an exit, all sorts of shocking bs. I
