If all your game requires is patience than it isn’t really skill based. No one should be that proud of beating it and therefore have no problems adding an easy mode that requires less patience to play for those of us with full time jobs and kids.

Much less precision needed than like most any other game - especially the most common style (FPS) or even a platformer

It’s okay. I figured you didn’t mean it the way it seemed, but I tend to be sensitive to how we talk about those with disabilities so I will point it out, not to shame, but to educate.

Thanks. I will check it out later tonight.

Well, that too.

As someone who works with kids on the spectrum I feel like I am lucky because all the parents I work with hate the McCarthys of the world. Its the parents of the kids not on the spectrum who are the most adamant about this anti-vaxx shit because they are afraid their kids are gonna end up like the kids I work with.

Lol. I have a family member playing football at a P5 school. I sent him this and his response was a shitload of laughing emojis followed by “gotta get to practice.”

I keep hearing that adding a different difficulty level in the game would fundamentally change the other non-easy mode in the game, yet no one has ever been able to explain to me how. How does me playing a game on easy in Wisconsin change the experience you are having playing on the normal/harder mode wherever you

I struggle to see why people would stop buying a video game series they love because the company added a gameplay mode or difficulty that they would never literally use. Honestly if anyone does that they are basically being gatekeeping shitheads and I really wouldn’t want people like that as fans of my franchise

Me: “Man, so many people love this game. It would be cool if the company who makes it made it fun and available to play for even more people without changing the core game experience that everyone else loves.”

Not asking for the same type of feeling of accomplishment. When I start God of War in easy mode, I am fully aware that I am not going to get the same feeling of accomplishment when I finish it that those on Nightmare difficulty do. I am also aware that it is not going to strain my capabilities to the point of

You do understand that there are RTS games with easy modes too right? At no point did I ever say that FS games should have an easy mode and only an easy mode. I said, “also” an easy mode. Again, not removing anything from the core gameplay experience people love so much and love to never shut the fuck up about anytime

Well its now past noon EST which means the, “it’s just not for you and people with disabilities should buy something else” assholes have woken up and logged on. Your arguments would be interesting if they weren’t so shitty and ableist.

Westchester...group of teens...nice try Professor X, we see right through you and your mutant loving ways!

What I am hearing from you is that you don’t care about the needs and wants of people with disabilities because you have some weird hard on for thinking beating a video game because it is hard accomplishes and means something (trust me, it doesn’t). I play video games to relax. The adults with disabilities I work with

Good thought. I’ll see if one around me gets it.

Weirdly enough, as a non-professional gamer, I have felt a great sense of achievement when I’ve beaten bosses in games on easy mode. Two recent examples I can think of are in God of War and Spider-Man. Those games also had super difficult modes for those who wanted to feel a different sense of achievement. I prefer my

Yeah, I know they aren’t alone in this. MH is another series that I have just had to avoid because of these issues. I’ll pick up a used copy of Sekiro when I see one that way if it is too hard I can return it. This is the only case that I really buy used games, because I prefer to buy new to support developers.

It is what it is. I’ve resigned myself that it will never happen. I bring it up to try and start a dialogue when a new From game comes out and all I get are fans of the games telling me why it can’t (or shouldn’t) happen. Game developers the world over have found plenty of ways to make games more accessible to those

I know who she is, you one the other hand I have never heard of and you seem like an absolute piece of shit. So congrats on that I guess.
