I wish I could have been at a hockey game last night to forget life. Instead I was consoling a gay friend and another who is pregnant with a mixed-race child. I have never been more disappointed in my home state of WI than I am this morning.

I was mostly joking but my new American Football shirt is pretty badass.

I have never had anything but good times with them. This last season after the championship some of the newer fans sucked but I just cut them some slack. They have an amazing owner so I have a soft spot for that team.

When the Hawks beat the Lightning in the SCF, I wore my championship shirt all the time because it was fun to see pissed off Lightning fans. To be fair, I really like Lightning fans though and most were really cool during that entire series.

Yeah, a friend bought me a nice t-shirt so I am gonna wear that. I do want one of the blue hoodies I have seen but I’m not shelling out $60 for it. I am going to spend an inordinate amount of money on books, framed pictures, and the championship blu-ray because I am a sucker for shit like that.

I am going to wear my fucking Cubs championship shit forever. I waited 37 years (not long comparatively) for those motherfuckers to finally win and I am milking it for all I can.

Nah he is legally blind. He can see barely and has a machine in his home from the VA that helps him read. He just has us to help him when he really needs it. That said, this is probably his last presidential election. I am gonna vote for who he wants me to vote for him, no matter how much it pains me.

Went with my dad last week in WI and early voted. We both voted for Clinton (his first time ever voting for a democrat).

I am literally an hour from Chicago but since I live across the imaginary state line, no blackout rules apply to me.

When I first cut the cord I lived in Tampa. As a fan of all Chicago teams it didn’t affect me at all. Now I live in Southern Wisconsin. All WI teams (i.e Brewers) are blacked out on MLB but I can still watch my Chicago teams. I feel for you. I am lucky that I don’t live in the network area that I actually cheer for.

We have local channels for sports so that is free. Only pay for Hulu, Netflix (actually got 2 free years of Netflix with our new phone purchases), HBO go, Amazon, and (most years the NHL package). I am working part time at Sbux while going through grad school. Yeah the benefits are nice (and cheap) which is the only reason I stay. I have turned down full-time employment in the field I am going in because they don’t offer benefits (or they are terrible and expensive as hell). Sbux is nice for people like me.…
