I’ve actually done it 4 times, including 1 for my wife. It *really* depends on what brand you want, and how picky you are.
Yes, most people do - in large part because most dealers *really* want to sell what they have. Plus most people are too impatient to wait 6-8 weeks for an order, and they also have better negotiating leverage in buying off the lot.
Can’t speak for the other teams, but there are plenty of hockey fans who hate the Hawks - aided by the NHLs insistence on including them in every showcase opportunity. It’s much the same reason why people hate the Pens.

I’m partial to the ‘61 Impala SS, but the ‘67 is very nice - love the clean, dechromed look of the ‘67.
Those cars are terrible in an accident. Being thrown clear isn’t a great option either - if you landed on your head, or in traffic, or on something sharp it could easily be the end. My aunt got lucky - she was a passenger, and I think in the back seat, although I’m not sure about the back seat part.
I have an aunt who was thrown clear out of a convertible in an accident back in the early 60s. Worked out okay for her, but it’s crazy to think about now.
Flat plane crank v8s have some unique characteristics, plus Ferrari.
Yeah - I hadn’t paid that close attention, but I think this is the correct answer here.
Right- but advertising that it’s a cross-plane crank will disappoint a lot of people, so I thought they might let that fact go a bit more under the radar.
“They loved it when we told them the Voodoo had a flat-plane crank like a Ferrari!”
Oh no - good work on your part. I’m questioning why Ford specifically called it out.
Odd that they call that out but nice work.
“Then again, if it makes money, who cares?”

This is the real story here.
Thank you for sharing this - and please keep telling your story. My condolences to you and your family.
You guys have had the best kicker ever for a while now, though.
Dude. It’s Russia. Pretty sure you just do whatever you want there, and pay a bribe if necessary.
