I’m sure you guys are curious if any military cars are in this collection....
Well, it would appear that last time I got my die-cast manufacturers mixed up and may have used the wrong name. Well, that won’t happen this time! No brand names were be harmed in the making of this post.
How about a whole bunch of Road Champs Corvettes?
Yesterdays box was full of some classic Lesney casts from the 60's and 70's. Well, today we’re sticking with a mostly 70's theme, but, this time we’re going to get to look at some castings from Playart.
Welcome to another box full of your favorite Lesney products (well, except for that one Husky Jag...) from the 1960's and 1970's. You know, in case you were bored today!
Silly me didn’t take a picture of the bottom of these cars. And now I’m sitting at work trying to remember what they said on the bottom. I’m pretty sure it was Kidco, but, I’m not certain! Anyway - I won’t be surprised when you tell me I’m wrong, what the correct answer is for manufacturer, original casting…
Well, if you are feeling a little over the top 80's or maybe a little early 90's today, you have come to the right place!
Who doesn’t like die-cast police cars?
Who knew there could be so many different styles of ambulances! Okay, so, you knew it, I knew it and pretty much everyone else knew it, but, wasn’t it fun to ask anyway? What I really want to know is how popular would the clear-bodied ones be? Presumably they would be easy to hose off, but, I’m not sure that’s…
That’s right, everyone, today I have a bunch of Pontiacs for you!
Who doesn’t love some good old fashioned Yatming!? I know a Mr. Vdub John that seems to have a thing for them. And, hey, who can blame him!? I mean, who else would have the nerves of steel required to make a die-cast model of a Chevrolet Citation??
Today we have a nice collection of classic Lesney stuff, and though some of it is newer than the Lesney name, all of it is to do with construction, farming, and just the general hauling of stuff.
Mr. Double Philip pointed out last week that I completely missed out on a great Van related pun. Well, not this time. See what I did up there?? Van is very similar to “fan” so I said Vantasy Island instead of Fantasy Island! Pretty clever, huh? huh!?
Here’s a fun one! Some classic Yatming goodies. I love the old Chevy trucks...and the blue Cadillac....and the blue BMW....and the blue flaming duster is always one of my favorites!
Today we’re going back. Waaaayyy back. I think it one of the first boxes I opened up that had a bunch of Johnny Lightning cars in it. Well, today, I bring you more of that! Of course, this collection being what it is, it isn’t all that...there’s some Racing Champions stuff mixed in to throw the dogs of the scent.
Look at this! Two in a row!! What’s up with that??? Well, basically, when there are 20-70 cars in a box, it’s much easier to layout and photograph a few boxes at a time than it is when there’s 400 in one tote!
Hey guys! It’s been awhile!
Well, this is the last of the huge totes full of cars. But don’t worry, it’s not like we’re done yet! There are still a collection of the small carrying cases and a couple of smaller totes left! Yes, this is the collection that never ends!
Holy smokes has this been a busy summer! Just trying to keep up with the garden after work is another full time job! And work has been busy enough that I haven’t been able to sit at my desk long enough to make one of these posts! But, in the car business the beginning of the month is usually a little less hectic…
Next up is another assortment of unboxed cars from various sources! I did my best to arrange them by manufacturer, so, there are a bunch of GM products and a gaggle of Bimmers. Up top are some sweet Toyota’s and a whole mess of Fords! Off to the sides I came across some campers and helicopters as well as some bikes,…
