I’d say the most iconic item on their menu are the tater tots. They’re very proud of their onion rings, but I find the batter to be cakey-sweet and the end product needs salt.

I believe one of GMC’s main purposes was to allow Buick, Oldmobile, and Pontiac dealerships to sell trucks without being a Chevrolet dealer.

There used to be this perception that GMCs were somehow a little “tougher” than their Chevy counterparts. A friend of mine had a GMC Jimmy years ago, and another common friend was telling him how the GMCs’ steel was a little thicker than that on the Chevy Blazer twin. Tough to talk someone out of their perceptions…

To me $1-2k to switch from the Chevy to GMC front is worth it at twice the price.

Bombas socks also have a guarantee too.  I only had to use it once, when a seam tore a couple weeks into having them.   Otherwise, I just buy new ones from them when they wear out after a year or so, because I want to support the business.  They’re like the only socks that dont annoy the shit out of my toes.

Many lifetime warranties are going away due to abuse. For example, LL Bean used to have a lifetime warranty but recently ended it due to people buying obviously used crap off Ebay and scamming LLBean for free replacements. Thanks, scumbags.
