Now playing

I actually have one of these beasts in my driveway. I bought it used from a rinkydink car dealership back in January 2015 and have put about 30,000 miles on it in that time. It’s been a rollercoaster of an adventure, ranging from awesome to super-awesome to this-thing-is-driving-me-insane. I met the previous owner

Considered one of these. Went for a 2006 Range Rover instead. I’m not sure I came out any better off.

So it appears the only way to keep Carroll Shelby from signing a Cobra glovebox is to hide the car from him.

And those exposed fasteners!

Yeah but let’s talk about the panel gaps

This isn’t really the fault of the people in the store, but I hate when I have to play the ‘order online while in the store’ game to get 20% off (or whatever). Come in for, say, an alternator, and in store it’s $150. I look online and it’s $120 and there’s a 20% off coupon, making it $96. If you show that to the sales

“I need a part.”

Until you can’t find help and its like you’re in some sort of employee apocalypse.

Username checks out.

1-2cm of extra pad material is A LOT.

Anytime I need to specify if its a V8 or V6 for friggin wiper blades

Waiting for the Singer of classic Grand Wagoneers shop to open now.

I am intrigued and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Vermont’s Land Rover culture is strangely strong. Between The 4x4 Center in Colchester, Rovers North in Westford, Land Rover’s own training facility in Manchester, and now this guy’s outfit, it seems like there’s a really high concentration of expensive off-roaders in a state that’s not exactly dripping with wealth

Rong and Glucker both got stories published on Jalopnik today. A fine day.

French, where there are sixty-twelve exceptions to every rule.

It’s still shit that this guy that helped us to be able to spout bullshit on the internet was neglected by the country that he helped protect. It took his random act of kindness and a internet savvy person to get him the help he needed to hopefully pull him out of the sad state he’s in. I truly hope this is a positive

Shit, I want to star both comments but it sucks that you are right.

Largest in terms of manpower sometimes just means the human lives are cheap. When the human lives aren’t worth much to you and you don’t have much money to spend, you don’t spend it building quality jeeps.

Before I comment on the jeep, I want to make it clear I have the utmost respect and admiration for what this man did. Grossly underweight, riddled with parasites, blood poisoning, and shot 5 times and he still got through the most fortified and militarized border on Earth? Seriously, somebody find him something importa
