@Dive-Bar-Drunk: Honestly, I doubt GM spends much to participate in NASCAR these days. All the aerodynamic development on the new generation Cup cars is done. In the Nationwide series, they're still using 2006 Monte Carlo bodies with Impala SS stickers on the front bumper. I'm thinking GM and Dodge both pulled factory

For 20+ years, some no-nuts jackass had a pair of '64 Impala sport coupes and a '57 Bel Air sport coupe sitting in his front yard not far from where I grew up. All three sank into the ground like it was some slow-acting quicksand. Surprisingly, other than three junk cars rotting in the front lawn, the house looked

I love how the USF1 announcement was made in front of a bunch of prominent pictures of NASCAR stock cars.

Refresh my memory. When's the Stormtrooper edition coming out?

A Grand Turismo S for the Grand Turismo 5 crowd.

No. Not cool. Not even close.

@Slant,sick with the DOTS DTs: My mom and dad had an '82 Century. Total crap. It was nicely kept, brown with a tan vinyl top and brown vinyl interior. No power anything, though. 4 cylinder, 13 inch wheels, dad always bought these cheap tires that got greasy in the summer even when the car wasn't moving. The tires

All your awesome are belong to Australia.

@OldeEnglishD: Now I want to see a gigantic Christmas bow photochopped onto one of the cars.

@acarr260: It was supposed to be a big secret... part of GM's turnaround plan... but you know bloggers, gotta ruin the surprise for everyone.

I don't think this means the SS line is going away. I mean, for Chevrolet, the moniker SS was basically a way of denoting that an otherwise mundane passenger car / light duty truck had the most powerful engine available in the model line, the biggest/widest tires available on that model, and a stiffer/arguably sport

@RCN8: My first was a '90 LE coupe with the SE grille and fog lights. I loved that car. And I agree, the death of the 2-door Grand Prix broke my heart.

This is such a needless waste. Grand Prix, Grand Am, Trans Am, GTO, LeMons, Tempest, even the G6 and G8... a halfway competent brand manager should have keep the brand afloat just on reputation alone. Body cladding aside, Pontiac defined an era of automotive style for me, and most of the big coupes I love have Pontiac

Why do I have a feeling one of them will claim that the dog ate their homework?

Perpetuating stereotypes is fun!

So the global financial apocalypse hasn't hit S. Korea?

I like so many rear ends, it's crazy. And they're not realy exotic cars either (I'm so proletarian).
