Looks like a real blast. Going to get stuck a lot in the wrong terrain, hopefully they are thinking of winch points, and other recovery items.

Someone call Robbie Gordon and tell his team to upload his GoPro footage. Then stream it over some service that we can all access.

Love the engine sound. This definitely is too serious a sport for me. I prefer to have fun in my motorsports and relax. The technical discussion of cams and stuff at the beginning was way over my head. I will stick to something less technical like NASCAR.

Big fan of my Scrambler as well. I like every single thing that Wes mentioned as a negative in the article about the Scrambler. I also drive a Jeep so utilitarian design and stuff not really making sense is par for the course in my world.

4x4 version would be much cooler but this is awesome!

I think that an off road rig would be best suited. Massive torque, low impact to the wilderness, and you could use a motor in each wheel to maximize center of gravity and traction. A Jeep or some other similar setup.

All I can say is loose is fast, and recovering from that missed shift on lap one was stellar.

Those pesky pedals are so confusing. I mean each car is so different in how they are placed. The gas is on the right, the brake is on the left....

Do you think they would still have this love of cars if they were able to get new cars? This is born out of necessity and once cars are readily available I wonder if this will still happen on the same level.

Excellent point. While I see where people are going with all the variables the point still stands that AWD is not needed to get around in snow, nor is 4 wheel drive. I drove a 1980 Firebird with a wonderfully powerful Pontiac 400 in Northwest PA for two years. That's Buffalo levels of snow in a nose heavy rear wheel

I would love to see the COTA lap but only if they did it Monster Truck style. Over the curbs, through the chicanes, and whatever path makes the most sense to a 10,500 pound truck. It might be fun to see a lap on the asphalt but not as much as watching it shred every inch of the place.

I would say that 10 days in jail for speeding is cruel and unusual. When you can plea out a 1st offense possession charge to less jail time that's a problem. Breaking the law is still breaking the law, but at some point we need to look at the laws and change how they operate so they are truly "safety" oriented as they

Not a lawyer and I try not to speed. I do have one question that I was thinking about today because of my proximity to VA and the Werth story. Does this fall under cruel and unusual punishment? The penalty is supposed to fit the crime but is speeding the same as a DUI? Maybe, but I don't believe it's the same as say

Slightly off of the track focused point of view: UTQG has always been crap. The best indicator of tire life and traction is the manufacturers warranty. They will always warrant a tire for less than what it can actually do. Traction and temperature need an update as well. AA is the highest traction and it is only rated

Sweet Jesus that Cobra at the end!

That sound is filled with so much awesome.

Vaporware is always fun. Surprised they didn't just go for the ton.

As has already been posted variable valve timing has been around for a long time in motorcycles. This is just the first time Ducati is doing it. Honda has had it for well over a decade in the VFR models. Of Course Kawasaki has also had this on the Concours since 2008. It's nice for Ducati and the system was invented

What the article really should be about is buying used. Whether I finance or pay cash for a new car I still take a possible 50% or more depreciation. If I finance versus pay cash in your example I spent roughly an extra 2k over the 5 years. Not really a bad deal when I can get more car for my money instead of coming

Edited because I finally saw the reveal. I like it a lot. Missed the power numbers however.
