Agree, my friend has one it isn’t that well packaged either with only 4 seats and not the five minimum you would expect from a car of that size. Drives well though.

Nobody has more experience with the peculiarities of the electrical systems in British cars than the British people. I am not surprised they're keeping a safe distance, warranted or not.
Great take - totally agree.
JLR’s problem with their EVs is much like that of other automakers: they focused on making their EVs too distinctive to make sure that everyone knows it’s an EV. The wacky i-Pace was too big and wide for markets like the UK, and too much of a hatchback for places like the US and China. It is awkward looking and…
The new RR looks like a great place to spend time on your commute and for weekend trips with the family.
My 2001 Range Rover HSE retailed for over $80K 20 years ago - with about the level of technology of a modern econobox. This seems like a bit of a deal for what you get.
The current one started in the high $90ks after taxes so not surprising to see a small bump. Our 2019 was a mid-spec HSE which went out the door for $106k. Sky is the limit on the Autobiography.
Port of LA and Port of Long Beach are essentially one big mega port, since they are barely separated by a bridge. In fact, I don’t think the bridge even separates them. They are next door to one another which seems wildly pointless.
Actually, skip what I said about the CTS, the best rental I ever had was about two years ago going home for Christmas to my parents in the UK. I booked a “Volvo XC40 or similar” and ended up with a Mercedes E220 Wagon Diesel. Loved it so much I looked at buying an E450 this past year. Cropping the license plate…
I had only lived in America a year or so and I went to a friend’s wedding in northern Connecticut - so took the redeye from LA to Boston arriving at 6am where Avis upgraded me to a brand new Cadillac CTS - just about when the previous-gen had first come out so maybe 2013/14 or so?
Our Hertz rental last month was for a Mazda3 or similar. Walked out with a Cadillac CT6, paying only the difference in registration recovery fee - like $20 over the 4 day rental.
I rented a Smart Fortwo when I went to the San Francisco bay area a few years ago. That thing was an absolute hoot. It’s not fast and it sounds like you’re sitting on a dumptruck engine, but it’s just so cute and extremely easy to park and maneuver in unfamiliar areas, which is a great attribute for a rental.
I processed out of active duty from the Far East at Joint Base Pearl Harbor in 1999. While I was there, I took some time off to cruise Oahu with my girlfriend, and then stayed with my parents for a week on Kawaii. It was September, and we had clear skies every day on Oahu. Since it was a big event for me, I splurged,…
And when you put it in D *(fingers crossed)*
I live in the Bay Area, so I see way too many Range Rovers. Never ONCE have I ever seen anyone towing anything with a range rover, or have a hitch, or anything mounted to the roof. Who’s that guy kidding with his “I found my next #towcar” routine?
I think it looks great. It’s evolutionary not revolutionary, much like the design of the Porsche 911 - which makes sense considering the Range Rover is also one of the longest running models in automotive history. Can’t wait replace our 2019 HSE with this next year.
Looks like the current generation mostly.
In a world of massive grills and over-styling, this looks great to me.
