Feel very lucky too. We got our 2021 Macan S in March in our dream spec (navy blue, tan, Turbo rims, colored bumper, Bose, all the options) and got about 3-4% off. The same dealer currently has 2 base Macans in stock and no Cayennes at all. They’ve already tried to buy us out of the lease twice.

Most days I am reminded how lucky I am that I got into a new vehicle when I did (December ‘20).

Let’s just pretend I had $120,000 to burn on an EV halo-car. Straight up fuck-you money, right?

Tron Legacy? What are you talking about? There is literally no better-looking, more imposing SUV on the road than the full-size Range Rover - especially not one with the pedigree and heritage the RR has.

Unless you’re a struggling real estate agent in Palm Springs or Bel Air, who are you trying to impress with a car like this? People who can afford to buy new Bentley’s will know you bought a fourteen year old Bentley because you can’t afford a new one. And if you’re buying it to impress yourself get a 2007 Lincoln

That requires it to be still running at the end of that year.

If you’re old enough/judged responsible enough to drive a vehicle on public roads, you’re old enough/responsible enough to face adult charges for vehicular crimes.

Someone sounds salty af.

I happen to think that the Q50 looks quite nice on the outside. The inside though? The interior trappings fall far short of its price point.

‘Manager’s special’ for me - and they pushed really hard on a (non-discounted) upgrade, which would have more than doubled the price of the rental.

I got one as a loaner at my Ford dealership. After a few days with it I handed them back the keys and asked them if they were trying to make their customers hate Ford

Good. Hideous POS. The only Ecosports I’ve seen here in California were rental fleet specials. Can you imagine booking a “Compact SUV”, paying much more than a Camry, and getting an Ecosport at the airport. I would rather walk.

Plot twist - it’s actually a fantastic place to drive and a lot better than driving in the UK. As a Brit living in California for 10 years, I love driving here because of the following uniquely American driving experiences:

I have driven a car in 11 counties (North America, Europe), I have been driven in 5 others (South America, Asia).

I appreciate you calling out the “Corporate Social Responsibility” for what it actually is. I’m always amazed at the people who are so easily fooled by virtue signaling. Yes, obviously it’s better than nothing. But it’s just advertising.

I know right, this is quite the faux pas, specially after years of crisis between the European Union and Turkey about this topic....

you’re talking about eastern european car culture and you’re talking about turkey.

Alfa Romeo Giulia. Sorry to those who love it, but it’s terribly built, plasticky, unreliable, lethargic unless you get the most expensive trim, and worse yet, it’s not even actually that good looking. Especially when you compare to older, genuinely beautiful models like the 157.

or you could have paid cash for a used porsche. and pocketed like 500 a month after budgeting for some repairs here and there
