Hey fellow Brit living in CA, which bit of CA are you in? I’m near Corona / Riverside.
Well they should know where to find it.
I’m biding my time before I can import a VW Lupo GTI. I’m British but live in CA, so I still have a few years before I can pick up a 2001 example and import it legally. I need a cheap’n’cheerful euro sports hatch in my life. The problem is, as time goes on more of them rust out and disappear so in the next couple of…
“Night panel” on Saabs is my single favorite interior feature of all time. I don’t know of any current vehicle that does anything like that, it’s hard to find cars that even let you turn off the infotainment screen.
I have some issues with this interior
This looks like Audi, Genesis, and Volvo had a three-way baby and I mean that in a very good way.
wth is with that two tone... the front wheel arch makes me cry
Well, this story is about Europe where gas isn’t exactly cheap. Likely people are just buying PHEVs due to the tax incentives and just don’t have overnight use of a plug yet.
Precious memories. My first car was a trusty 1999 VW Golf 1.9 TDI - a “3 dr” hatchback as we say in England. I’ve lived in California for over 10 years now and had a raft of leased Audis and Porsches, but somehow that little old VW remains the most reliable car I ever had, taking me through college, clocking 95,000…

Since you asked. This is a list of my daily drivers over the years. Three of the early cars were not actually mine in the sense that my
name was not on the title, but my wife and/or I drove them every day.
In 1964 I bought a 1960 Bugeye Sprite. In 1968, I bought a 1968 Ford Cortina GT, which I sold in 3 1/2 years because I moved to New Orleans and it did not have air conditioning.
In my area, people don’t seem to be buying many hotcakes at all.
One should not underestimate the value of personal experience. I bought my first car in 1965 and my first new car in 1968 and have bought a variety of new and used vehicles since then. I have had my best experiences buying cars new and keeping them for a long time, 10+ years. I am old enough, 74, that I will likely…
Changing car names to EV would be a shock to consumers. There would be a lot of resistance to the change and a lot of impendence to name changes.
My wife drives a Range Rover, and has had zero problems with it. It may either be anecdotal on my part, or yours, but either way...it runs well and performs very well off-road.
